The 21st CCLC serves 100 students.
The program will take place from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday 12 hours a week for 30 weeks.
The Summer program will be from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Mondays through Friday for 3 weeks.
Acceptance into the program will be prioritized based on academic and discipline data, as well as teacher referrals.
Literacy Block (60 minutes total)
GEAR Lab (30 minutes)
Homework Help (30 minutes)
Triple Play/Enrichment Block (30 minutes each)
Students will participate in either:
Emergent Readers- tutor-led independent reading practice (15 minutes) and skill-based activities (15 minutes).
Developing Readers- tutor-led independent reading practice (30 minutes).
Students will participate in GEAR Lab, a STEAM project-based learning block, for 30 minutes each day.
Students will participate daily in engaging activities that integrate the Arts, including GEAR Lab and Triple Play/Enrichment Block, to encourage their attendance and positive behavior.
Students will participate in culturally enriching field trips throughout the program to encourage attendance and positive behavior.
